Survived & 3rd Times a Charm!

Well yesterday was my first day back to work. I survived. Our sitter text messaged me once during the day to let me know Kylee was PERFECT, which of course helped. She did great. Played with her toys, took naps, ate and watched the other kids play. By the time I left work however I was ready to see her and couldn't get there fast enough. Today I am working from home which is nice. One day at a time is my motto these days.

So Kylee tried rice cereal for the 3rd time on monday night. The first 2 times she wasn't liking it at all, but on monday it was a whole different story. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. She couldn't get enough of it. She would open her mouth for the spoon, stare at it and laugh. She laughed pretty much the whole time she ate. Not quite sure what she was laughing at but it was too darn cute. We tried it again last night and again she ate it up and laughed. Can't wait to eventually try the other foods.

It's Offical

Well today is my last friday on maternity leave. On tuesday I will be returning to work for the first time since the middle of september. I am not looking forward to leaving Kylee all day long. Although she will be in good hands while we are working, it is still more than alittle nerve racking. The anxiety I have had the last few days is like nothing I have experienced before. Everyone tells me the first couple days are rough but that it will get easier everyday. I certainly hope so. Its hard to imagine not seeing her smiling face all day or hearing her squeals of delite. I will even miss her sad little tears. The only thing that makes this new chapter some what bearable is that I love our daycare provider. She is amazing with Kylee and the other children she takes care of. Being home with Kylee the last 4.5 months has been the most challenging and rewarding time of my life. I am very happy that my work had such a great maternity leave program that allowed me to spend so much quality bonding time with her. Now back to the working world I must go.
