Kylee's First Christmas - 2007

This Christmas was a very special Christmas. The best present of all was Miss Kylee. Patrick and I couldn't have wished for anything more special than Kylee. Auntie Niki and Grammee and Pops came to see Kylee on the 22nd. It was nice to have everyone together even though it was a quick visit. Auntie Niki and Uncle Max got Kylee a Newborn Cabbage Patch Kid. Its so cute and tiny. Luckily Kylee is bigger than her new baby doll (Lisbeth McKenna).. It seems as though Niki, Mom & dad and myself were all on the same page. As I told patrick I wanted to get Kylee a Cabbage Patch kid. Well turns out Grammee and Pops got her one also (Jenna Wendy). This one is much different from the one Auntie Niki and Uncle Max got her.. This one can lick her ice cream. Its the 25th year anniversary one.. Both are super special and I can't wait for her to play with them. It was a fun christmas morning. Kylee woke up at 5:30 am. We got up and made coffee and fed. Then we got the room ready, turned on the tree lights and woke up everyone else at 6:30 am. Its a tradition to open gifts while its still dark out. We had a great christmas meal at my brothers house. Although he was sick it was nice to spend time with the family. Unfortunately that night Kylee got a fever and we had to take her to the emergency room at 3am. It was a long hard night, between the blood being drawn, the x-rays and the shot. Very emotional for both Patrick and I. Luckily mom was there for support. Turns out Kylee had an ear infection. All the other tests came back normal.. She has been on some antibiotics and it is doing much better. It as been easy to give her, her meds as she just gobbles it up.. I think we all remember the pink bubble gum flavor med we took as a kid.. Anyhow despite the trip to the emergency room it was a great Christmas. We are already looking forward to next year when she can open presents and play with the paper! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Happy New Year!
