T Minus 3 weeks
But Im definitely not counting! :) Im more than ready for miss Makenna to arrive.. Patrick has made a prediction of Jan 4 @ 3am. My C-section is Jan 11 @ 10am. My doctor thinks we will make it to the 11th and since patrick does not they have a friendly bet. If we do not make it til the 11th my doc will be providing us with a nice cold 12 pack. If we do make it til the 11th he told patrick to have a bottle of tequila in hand when we arrive at the hospital.. Obviously he won't receive it prior to my surgery! :) I only have 1 more day in the office and thursday I will be working from home! Its so nice to see the end in sight. These days I am very uncomfortable, and getting little sleep. We have prepared Kylee the best we can the rest is up to her.. We are hoping there will not be too many jealous moments but we can't predict! We didn't send out Christmas cards this year, but we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We look forward to sharing the news of Makenna's arrival!

October.. What a crazy Month
Hi All - First off I can not believe it is already November. The months are just flying by.. Next month I will already be out for maternity leave and trust me it can't come soon enough. We are super excited to meet Makenna.
October was a crazy month for us. Well in reality a crazy month for the whole Kerzich Family. We started the month off at Niki & Max's pre wedding reception. It was a great time. Got to see lots of family we had not seen in awhile. We were also able to celebrate Kylee's 2nd birthday on the 11th with all of our family. She had a great time jumping in the freezing cold pool.
From there we came home for about a week with my parents in tow. Then we jetted off to St. Lucia for Niki & Max's actual wedding. We left Kylee home for the 5 days with my wonderful Aunt Lori. We could not have left her in better hands. Knowing she would be so well taken care of it afforded us some relaxation. The wedding was beautiful. Could not have asked for a more beautiful day. The view was amazing and the love shared by all was the best part. Now there is one thing we could have all done without that day and that was the Mosquitos!!! We were all eaten live but by the end of the night we all shared a lovely fragrence of Aud de la Deet! Despite the bugs it was a fantastic wedding & reception.
By the time we returned home we were more than excited to see Kylee. We got home to balloons and welcome home signs. Aunt Lori is so creative. We even had a wonderful dinner waiting for us. Kylee just kept giving us hugs and telling us she missed us. It was the best homecoming ever!! We missed our baby girl more than we could express.
We finally got some time at home to decompress from the first 3 weeks of pure craziness. This past weekend we dressed Kylee up as Minnie Mouse for Halloween. We didn't end up trick or treating since the weather was really rainy, but we gathered at a neighbor friends house for a potluck. We had a great time eating and enjoying the company of our friends. Kylee got a chance to meet a new friend Brady that is 8 days older than her. The two girls were like peas in a pod. Running through the house, playing together, just having a blast. We did a fake trick or treat at the house we were gathered. Took Kylee out side to ring the door bell and say trick or treat just to say she did it and get a picture. She could careless still at this point. She only cared about being dressed as Minnie Mouse.. She loved her costume.
Now November has arrived and I am looking forward to some down time this month. I will be able to start getting Makenna's room organized and set up. Its funny how with the 2nd child you are not in quite the hurry to get everything situated.
I have attached a few pictures from this last month. Sorry Kylee's eyes are closed but apparently at age 2 you can not smile and have your eyes open at the same time.
Enjoy!

Everythings on track.
I went to the Fetal specialist yesterday for another ultrasound. They looked at all the parts they couldn't see the last time as well as her heart. Everything looked great! She was being a pill by laying face down on her belly which made our 15 min appt more like 30, but they got all the pictures they needed. Since everything is on track, that was our last appt with the specialist.. Makenna is weighing in at 1 lb so far. We are looking forward to seeing her in a few more months.

Its Offical!
We are having another girl! We are excited to welcome Makenna Grace Davidson this winter to our family. Poor patrick will be out numbered until the day his daughters get married.. But if he has anything to do with that it won't be for atleast another 25 to 30 years. Kylee and I visited California last weekend for Auntie Kiki's (Niki's) wedding shower. We had a great time visiting with Family and friends. We miss everyone already but there really is nothing like being home.. It was nice to get back to Patrick and Atlanta.. I had forgotten how brown it is in California most of the year. We are very spoiled here with green all year around. Well as some of you may know we have had a rough several weeks. My standard blood work they do during your pregnancy came back abnormal. We ended up opting for a amnio to see what we were dealing with if anything. Well today I got the results today and they were normal. We are very happy and looking forward to seeing our little girl. In other news Kylee has started going potty on the toilet like a big girl. She has shown interest over the last couple months but we have not pushed her. She has pee'd a few times for us at home and even pooped once. Well yesterday she pee'd once at school for the first time and today she went all day! 4 times!! Luckily for us, they do the training at school since she is there all day long.. Its hard to believe my baby is almost ready for panties.. Thanks to Grameee she got her first pairs while visiting in Cali..

Discovery
So this weekend, Kylee discovered the toilet, and not in a good way. Besides seeing Momma with her head in the toilet constantly puking from the morning sickness (gotta love it) she found what she thought was best thing ever. On saturday patrick found her playing with the water in the toilet. Arms & floor soaked in water and all the kleenex pulled out of the box! Fantastic! After being firmly told Not to play in the toilet she listened and no longer played in that toilet. Sunday morning I am in the basement for my weekly skype with my parents and Patrick calls for me to come up stairs. As I get up there he says look where I found your daughter. I said where, As we round the corner in the master bedroom to the bath room I see kylee in only her diaper sitting INSIDE the toilet bowl. She had somehow climbed inside the toilet with water EVERYWHERE.. Of course we laughed and took a picture and told her not to do that. She listened until she got up from her nap and once again this time FULLY clothed patrick found her in the toilet again. Needless to say she got a time out and was none to happy about it.. Doors now remain closed to the bathroom.. Oh the joys of discovery.

Changes for the Davidson Family

Well it's been a few months since I last updated. We have had a busy couple months. We visited family in Rockford, IL in June. We hadn't seen any of them since Kylee was 7 weeks old. She got to play with her cousins, Emma and Anna and had a blast. Kylee is growing like a weed. Every day she says more and more things. She is such a ham and a joy to be around. We have spent some time at the lake already this summer and are having a blast.
For those of you who have not heard yet, I am expecting our second baby. We are very excited to welcome this little one to our family in January. We won't know for another 6 weeks if it is a boy or girl but we will keep you posted. We had our first ultrasound today so I have attached a picture of the little munchkin.

We are looking forward to what the next several months bring. We hope everyone has a great summer! Love to all!

Easter 09
This year for Easter we got a chance to spend time with all of the Carmichael Family. Kylee had fun finding her first eggs, and even more fun eating the chocolate inside. The Carmichaels were nice enough to set some eggs aside just for kylee to find. We also had a nice visit with our friends the Eichenbergs. Their son is 22 months, so he and Kylee had a fun evening playing together and doing alittle more as you will see in pics.

First Snow of the Season
Kylee got to experience snow for the fist time today. It was the first snow of the season here and probably the last considering its March first.. She wasn't quite sure what to think of the snow but watched it for awhile through the window after we came in.. We got her some little boots for the snow incase we have another oppurtunity to enjoy it..

The Longest week ever!

I have to say this last week has been not only long but sleep deprived and emotionally draining. Kylee's ears had finally healed and we were excited at having a healthy happy baby until Tuesday morning when she woke up at 5 am with a fever. Which meant no school for her and no work for one of us. Lucky for me Patrick was able to stay home with her cause I had a meeting on tuesday. At this point we just assumed she was teething. Nothing else seemed to be wrong except the fever. Her fever remained throughout the day. So tuesday night she would not go to sleep until like 11 pm. Then she woke up at like 12 ish and we brought her in with us hoping she would go back to sleep. No fever at this point. She did fall asleep only to wake up at 2 am with a 102 fever. When taking off her jammies to take her temp we noticed this rash covering her arms and legs. So at this point off to the Children's Hospital. After arriving we were taken into a room with only a short wait. Then doctor was in immediately and noticed her throat was very red. He did a throat culture for strep. Most children under 2 DO NOT get strep.. However she is my child so of course the strep culture came back positive.. At this point he diagnosed the rash as a virus, but said to get it checked by her doc. We get home around 5 am and finally get about 2 hours sleep before I have to get up for work and meetings all day! Again Patrick had to stay home with Kylee. Her fever broke at some point on wednesday however she still had this horrible rash that just seemed to be getting worse. Blisters where starting to form in the middle of the spots. Now, I am starting to get really worried that she might have chicken pox or something like that. So i get on the internet and sure enough it looks just like the picture of chicken pox and the symptoms seem to be the same. It recommended that you circle a couple and keep an eye on them prior to seeing your doc. So I did. Wednesday night she slept better but still woke up a couple times in the middle of the night. Up for good at 430 am. Thursday I was able to stay home to take her to the doc and patrick got a break and went to work. I called the doc prior to going to let them know I thought she had chicken pox, so when we got there they kept us quarentined for about 30 min before bringing us into an exam room. The doc came in and examed kylee and was struggling with what the rash was. She was leaning toward chicken pox as serveral of them had blisters, but wasn't sure cause it wasn't all over her body as chicken pox tend to be. Since it was just on her arms, legs and a couple on her face she was hesitant. She did however say since Kylee had been vaccinated for chicken pox it can tend to look different than normal. The doc brought in another doc for a second opinion, and he too said it didn't look like typical chicken pox but wasn't sure what it was. So at this point since neither could give a definative answer to what it was they said VIRUS..I left there thinking what a bunch of quacks! I couldn't believe they couldn't tell one way or another for sure Yes it is or No it isn't. So they said to just watch it and see if they scab over or more blisters appear. So now that it has been a couple days they have been decreasing in amount and redness, a couple have scabbed but for the most part they are going away.. Which we are very happy about. Hopefully this means she can go back to school on Monday and both Patrick and I can return to work.. I am glad this week is over and I am happy to report Kylee slept until 6:15 ish this morning. Only woke up once at 12 looking for her binki.. Hopefully tomorrow she won't wake up at all in the middle of the night and sleep til 7.. I ready to be back on our normal routine! We could sure use the sleep..

Kylee's Ear Surgery
Today Kylee had her ear surgery. I dreaded waking her up bright and early this morning, fearing she would be grouchy cause we couldn't feed her or giver her any fluids. If you know Kylee you know she LOVES to eat. However, to my surprise she did amazing. We got to the surgery center around 6:45 am and at about 8:15 they had me bring her into the OR and sit there holding her hand until she was asleep. For me that was the hardest part of the morning. Not 10 minutes later they were wheeling her into her recovery room. Everything went smoothly as the doctor had predicted, although she did have another ear infection. This was her 3rd in the last 3 weeks. The poor thing. She slept in the recovery for another 15 minutes or so and then we slowly woke her up. At that point she woke up happy and quickly became upset. Probably alittle due to pain but more in part of her HUNGER! They initally didn't want us to feed her right away but she wanted nothing but her snacks. So they let us feed her and at that point she calmed down.. We stayed there just a few more minutes and then we were free to go. She has been such a trooper today. She has taken 1 three hour nap and another two hour nap. She is such an amazing baby and we are glad today is over. Thanks for all the well wishes!
