Well we made it all safe and sound. We took off from California on Sept 3rd and made it all the way to Flagstaff AZ. It was a long 13 hours but luckily I had my sister to help me with the ride, and dad was there to keep Patrick company. Kylee did great for the first 9 hours, of course with mulitple stops. Once we hit that 9 hrs she was ready to get out of the car for the night, as we all where. Unfortunately we had 4 more hours to go. Once we got there she went right to sleep and the rest of us followed not to long after. The next day we got on the road by about 7:45 am and made it to Amarillo TX, by early evening. The day was only about 8-9 hrs so it felt like a breeze compared to the first day. From there we made it to the middle of nowhere Arkansas and where in need of a nice cold beer. Well with the luck we have we ended up in a dry county so no beer for us! From Arkansas we headed to Mt. Juliet TN, just outside of Nashville where spent the afternoon and night with my Uncle Greg, Aunt Lori & cousin Stephen. Uncle Greg was nice enough to get the boat out and take us for a trip to the lake. Patrick got in some wakeboarding, Wake Surfing & single ski time. I got in some crashing on the wakeboard time, but it was great to be out of the car and on the water just relaxing. Finally on sunday we headed down to Smyrna GA to our new home. We were so excited to get there. Our furniture arrived on wednesday which ended up being alittle bit of a hassel, but it all worked out. The moving truck was too big to pull into the gated community so Patrick and the 2 moving guys shuttled our stuff from the truck to the house using Patricks truck. They started at 9 am and finished around 6 pm. While they moved the stuff to the house, dad and I unpacked the kitchen. It was nice to have that all done and put away. Made it somewhat feel like home. From that point we have just been trying to get settled and familiar with the area. We really love our location as we are close to everything we need. Dad stayed until last saturday to help us get things done, which was an amazing help! At this point he still hasn't made it back home but is working his way across the country and visiting with family along the way.. Luckily for him the trip home is by plane instead of car! We started work this week and Kylee started daycare. She is now at the daycare we were hoping for and loving it. We are almost through with our first week of work and are also enjoying getting to know a new office and new coworkers. I took pictures along the way. Some are not so good at 75 miles an hour, but others turned out better than I thought. I tried to get a picture of every Welcome to sign as we entered each state but unfortunately Oklahomas is blurry and I missed Georgia completely.. Oh well I guess thats the way it goes. Thank you all for your love and support over the last month as this transition in our lives has taken place. We love and miss you all and hope to see you all soon! Thanks again to Niki & Dad for coming along on our journey!
